Galvin’s new House Champagne is sourced from Beaumont des Crayères, an association (co-operative) of 250 small winegrowers based around Epernay which was founded in 1955. These winegrowers own small parcels of land which they have cultivated themselves using only traditional methods, ensuring excellent quality of grapes are produced.

The Galvin label blend, Grande Réserve Brut NV is made from a high proportion of Pinot Meunier (60%) together with Chardonnay (25%) and Pinot Noir (15%). The current cuvée is a blend of wine from the 2004 & 2005 vintages with up to a third of reserve wines to help maintain the consistent quality.

The style is elegance, fruitiness and freshness with good depth of rich fruit. The citrus scented aromas on the nose lead to a fine mousse with ripe white fruits on the palate and a refreshingly long, dry finish.

This is an excellent apéritif Champagne as well as a fine accompaniment to seafood and light flavoured dishes.
